One of 21 velodromes in the nation, this bicycle track was built in 1986 for the U.S. Olympic Festival and is the site of the 1989 Texas Track Championships.  The track is a  333-meter concrete oval with bankings of 9 to 33 degrees in the turns.   For the riding schedule or to rent bikes call 281.578.0693

The City of Katy Railroad Park houses the old MKT Depot which serves as an Information and Tourist Center for Katy.  A caboose and the elegant Verdin Street Clock graces the park. 

Forbidden Gardens

This unique museum is the only one of its kind in the United States and has been featured in numerous magazines including National Geographic. Two large exhibits recreate the Forbidden City and the tomb of the first emperor of China. Emperor Qin, on over 40 acres. The outdoor museum is designed to educate the public on Chinese history. Buildings, landmarks and monuments on the walled in capital recreate the mysterious past of the Middle Kingdom.

The wildlife habitat is comprised of the duck and goose pond; the aviary; and exhibits for various animals.  The animals include: birds of prey, peacocks, bison, rheas, emus, pot bellied pigs,  white-tailed deer, donkeys, sheep and goats.
