Upcoming Chamber Events
The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce has made the decision to reschedule all programs and events through the end of April 2020.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated their guidance regarding large group gatherings and events in light of the ongoing effort to combat the spread of coronavirus in the country. The new CDC guidance recommends against holding any events or group gatherings of 50 or more people across the U.S., and notes that this guidance applies for at least the next eight weeks.
The Katy Area Chamber is ready to assist our health officials in combating the spread of COVID-19. We are taking our direction from the medical community who advises that the key to keeping the virus from spreading is to curtail events, practice diligent hygiene and social distancing. Our temporary aggressive action now is the key to getting control sooner.
The Chamber is working hard behind the scenes to continue to bring value and content to our members through our digital and social media avenues. Although we are rescheduling our programs to a later date, we are here to help our members and community thrive during this time. We are your resource for information and will be communicating all details with you as we receive them.
